5min, a website that allows its users to create instructional videos as well as view other videos that have been created, has just received $5 million of funding from Spark Capital. Part of the deal is that the 5min team moves from Israel to New York but I'm sure that won't be a problem.
Alex Finkelstein of Spark Capital believes that how-to videos are a very lucrative business in terms of attracting ad dollars. Why? Finkelstein fro one believes that people veiwing how to videos are already in a purchasing mindset, something advertisers are definitely going to want to take advantage of.
5min is definitely an interesting site. It has a very clean design and includes options that halp you in the learning process - you can zoom into videos, watch vidoes in slow motion and more. If you haven't already, definitely take a look at the site.
